Hater Of The Day: Jack Murphy

January 6th, 2009 by Maurice Garland

If you’re in love with strippers, especially the ones in Atlanta, you might want to start saving a little more money to support your habit. Republican Georgia State Senator Jack Murphy, is planning on writing a law that will tax strip club visitors $3 to $5 each time they go.

Murphy is scoffing at strip club owners notion that the tax will drive people away, saying that people pay twice as much for drinks. (He ain’t lying)

So that means that some of ya’ll are probably about to start paying almost $20 in admission before you even see a glimpse of ass.

Lil Wayne Vs. Skip Bayless on ESPN

January 6th, 2009 by Randy Roper

Earlier today, Wayne made a guest appearance on ESPN2’s morning sports show, ESPN First Take. Weezy debated with ESPN contributor Skip Bayless during the show’s 1st and 10 segments. The two went back and forth on various sports topics, and Weezy held his own in my opinion.

Also, Lil Wayne writes a sports blog for ESPN: Lil Wayne’s ESPN blog.

More segments after the jump.

It’s been a banner year for Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo and he ended it by doing “good in the hood.” On Tuesday, December 23rd in Forest Park, GA, the D4L boss participated in the DJ Holiday-hosted event, Everyday’s A Holiday Toy Give-Away along with other industry labels and artists, including the DTP Family, So Icey Entertainment and OJ Da Juiceman.

Common

Common

Common recently came to Columbus and got a lot of love. He was basically all over the city the entire day, doing events with radio stations, Foxie 105 and 98.3 The Beat. I’m sure he ate good, because every other event was at somebody’s restaurant. Common ended the night celebrating with Foxie 105’s Michael Soul and DJ OO Key for Soul’s birthday bash and OO Key’s radio anniversary. Common did his thing, performing a couple new songs and some old favorites.  South Florida up and comer JW came through and did his single “Bayk at It.” Bohagan was also in the house.
